River tied 0-0 with Lanus for the Copa Sudamericana’s first quarterfinal match.
People thought that these match would be really interesting but at the end it wasn’t. Local team was better than River. Ramón Díaz’s team had some chances to score but it couldn’t. River’s most important player on the field was the goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero who headed off severals balls and had a really good performance.
River was the team which had most admonished with five yellow cards. Lanus had only two admonished. Reaching the end of the meeting, Eder Álvarez Balanta was expelled by the referee, Silvio Trucco.
River’s fans must wait to know if River continues in Copa Sudamericana. On November 06th, both teams will meet again at Monumental stadium.
