The club’s partners voted and elected Rodolfo D’Onofrio as the new River’s president leaving the worst president in history behind.
River Plate expected elections were on December 15th. The anxious partners were early in the Monumental waiting that Daniel Passarella’s disorganized presidency ended. Over 15,000 partners were present, surpassing the record of 2009.
The election’s candidates were: Rodolfo D’Onofrio, Antonio Casselli, Daniel Kiper y Carlos Avila. As everybody thought, Caselli and D’Onofrio were the more voted. But Rodolfo won.
The new president assumed officially on December 17th in ‘La Máquina’, the club’s café, where were a lot of partners. Passarella wasn’t present due his shameful presidency. But there was the ex vice-president, Diego Turnes, and was insulted and disrupted on his speech by the partners. He was the responsable for give the mandate to D’Onofrio.
Finally, Jorge Brito, Matias Patanian and the others members D’Onofrio’s team assumed their stand too. Make it better for River! This is the biggest wish of River Plate’s fans!
