Gonzalo Luduena returned to River from a loan transfer to San Martin de Porres University of Peru, expressed his desire to play and retain activity with Coach Leonardo Astrada’s club. He is also known as ex-River, Daniel Luduena’s brother, who is currently playing for Mexico’s Santos Laguna.
“By staying and not playing would not do me well. A player needs prove himself, and hopefully I can do it with River. That is decided by the coach, with whom I must speak with and is just getting to know me. Now I must wait and see what he is thinking” said Gonzalo Luduena.
In addition, Luduena told TELAM, Argentina’s main news agency, the playing for River “is a pending matter in my career, by the fact that I played only one game and had to leave. I want to earn my spot in the team and I will stay and work to achieve this”.
Unfortunately, his return was met with controversy. After scoring against River in the previous Copa Libertadores, he celebrated his goal with a questionable celebration and stated that “he had lived the goal like another fan of Boca.”
