This week, River will play an exhibit match against Libertad of Paraguay in the Monumental Stadium behind closed doors. In addition, there will be another match against the reserve squad tomorrow afternoon.
As players take advantage of the weekend to rest, Coach Angel Cappa is concentrating in this week’s training sessions, and awaiting the final incorporation of Juan Pablo Carrizo to have all of his players at hand.
In the Defensores de Belgrano Stadium, River will perform a closed-door, double-shift practice. In the morning, the players will do their usual routines while in the afternoon, a group chosen by Coach Cappa will face the reserve squad led by Coach César Laraigneé.
However, the highlight of the week will be the clash on Thursday afternoon against Libertad of Paraguay in the Monumental Stadium. The Paraguayan team will be an interesting opponent for River’s developing formation, although it will be an informal match with no public viewing.
