Diego Buonanotte has had a great start during preseason training, and fans see him as the River’s new hope. River will start the Apertura tournament with the pressure of relegation, but the team has already secured six signings and is going for more.
“You always dream of the best. I wish this is my year, but also for the others; for the sake of River. I’m a fan and I would give my life for this jersey. The coach speaking well of me is very important, a great joy. Now it is up to me to get on the pitch and prove everything I can give,” said Diego Buonanotte in remarks published in today Diario Olé.
‘The dwarf‘ has been participating in River’s training sessions and he has been scoring, the latest being yesterday with a penalty kick. As he looks into the future: “Every time I stepped on the pitch, I was happy and wanted to play. Now that I’m going to start the tournament with Coach Cappa, I hope we all have the same happiness,” stated Buonanotte.
Relegation?: “We have to focus on positive things, like winning a title. Then we’re going to start thinking in accordance to the moment. Recently we started preseason training, and we want to be calm but we all know that we can give our best and place River above the rest. We must think in becoming champions. “
