Andres D’Alessandro has once again stated that he desires to return to River. His name has been linked with a possible transfer after the World Cup, and this has caused many River fans to welcome the ‘Cabezon’ with open arms. Currently, Andres is in Argentina with his team, Internacional of Porto Alegre (BRA), which is going to play Banfield in the first playoff leg of the 2010 Copa Santander Libertadores.
“I am always available for River, but I already said what I had to say” stated D’Alessandro after confronting local reporters in Buenos Aires. The reality is that Andres has a contract with Internacional of Porto Alegre, and depending on how far his team goes in the Copa Santander Libertadores, his arrival to River is doubtful. Coach Angel Cappa has recognized his intention on acquiring Andres back, but it all depends on president Daniel Passarella.
