Alexis Ferrero will become River’s third acquisition during the preseason. After reaching an agreement with Colon of Santa Fe, this 30-year-old central defender will play an important role in fortifying River’s defense.
The amount of the transfer was relatively low at $160,000 as there was a clause from Colon’s side of the deal. Slowly, but surely, River is making the right moves to acquire important pieces in the puzzle that is River. The last remaining spot for reinforcement will be reserved for a striker, in which many names still linger around the position including Jackson Martinez, Ernesto Farias (ex-River), Gaston Fernandez (ex-River), and Juan Pablo Angel (ex-River).
