River Plate defeats Boca Juniors, 5-0! No, it’s not the first division River, but the youth squad that is making River proud. In the first leg of the tournament final against Boca Juniors at Casa Amarilla, River annihilated Boca 5-0 as the visiting squad. The series ends at Ezeiza on Sunday.
Led by Coach Juan Jose Borelli, River’s youth had a tremendous match against the arch rivals. In the initial sixteen minutes of the first half, River was already up 4-0. If only the first division squad would play like this. Could it be that the youngsters need to teach them a thing or two?
River’s Emmanuel Mannan, Leonardo Vega, Facundo Quintana, Sebastian Driussi, and Abel Casquetes were the culprits in demonstrating that it is going to take a lot to defeat the defending champions. With this win, once again it has been proven that River has a lot of youth players capable of playing in the first division squad. The only problem is convincing River’s management to utilize their skills.
Way to go River! Way to go youth!
