River Plate will commence the preseason training in Canada starting July 19, 2009. There is much excitement from North American fans as the Millonarios visit the continent. River will be preparing itself for the following local tournament as well as the 2009 Copa Nissan Sudamericana. River will be staying in the Marriot Renaissance Hotel in Toronto. As a reminder, River will be playing an exhibition match against MLS newbie, Toronto FC on July 22, 2009 for the Carlsberg Cup in BMO Field. You can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster (Canada). On July 26, 2009, River will be facing English Premiership’s Everton FC at the Commonwealth Stadium and you can also purchase tickets through Ticketmaster (Canada). Finally, on August 04, 2009, River will face off against the USL’s Montreal Impact in Saputo Stadium and tickets to this match can be purchased through Admission.
