The National Assessment and Accreditation (CONEAU) authorized the Foundation Studies of Club Atletico River Plate, to create the University Institute of Sport. Thus, River Plate became the first club in South America have their own university.
The two academic departments are: Education and Sports, with its Teaching in Physical Education and Bachelor of Physical Education, and Economics and Administration of Sport, with its Bachelor of Sport Management, Sport Marketing and Administration.
The University is set to open next year when final approvals are finalized by the legislation.
