Coach Leonardo Astrada acknowledged that the team was “too far out” in obtaining a draw against Lanus, and admitted the lack of clarity and strategy. Additionally, he confirmed that Ariel Ortega will be taken into account for the next match against Newell’s Old Boys.
“We were not close to a draw. We lacked clarity and lacked strategy. We had a couple of situations from out of nowhere,” said Coach Leonardo Astrada in the brief news conference after the 1-0 loss.
“The first 10 or 15 minutes of the match, we controlled the game. But then, Lanus clearly dominated. We must continue working and relying on our players. This is a difficult situation, but we will give everything to succeed. Whoever does not have the strength will not be able to participate” finalized Coach Astrada.
